Can you imagine being left behind? That's exactly what happened to Vinnie. He was found crying outside on the coldest day of winter - his owner had moved away and just abandoned him on the streets to fend for himself. Thankfully, a good Samaritan discovered the nearly-frozen tiger cat just in time, and had him brought in to the shelter. They said they thought he was burned, but it turned out that poor Vinnie had a combination of frostbite (cats’ ears are thin and very sensitive to the cold), ear mites (can you imagine having bugs crawling inside your ears?), and a skin infection that covered much of the side of his face.
All because no one loved him enough
to take care of him!

The frostbite on Vinnie’s ear was so bad that he lost most of the tip of his left ear, but it’s only cosmetic and almost entirely healed.  He can hear just fine – and despite everything he’s suffered, he’s a sweet, affectionate boy who’s looking for a home with someone who knows that it isn’t how we look, it’s the love in our hearts that matters most. And Vinnie’s heart is filled with love
he’s been waiting to share.
