Your Gift Keeps Our Door Open
As an independent, nonprofit organization funded only by donations, your support helps to ensure that our door continues to stay open to all animals in need by helping to provide shelter, veterinary care, spay/neuter services and hope for thousands of homeless pets each year. Catnip Club
Join The Catnip Club and your favorite feline will be mailed three 3.5" catnip pillows filled with high-quality catnip every three months for one year. Each is carefully handcrafted from 100% cotton fabrics in bright, colorful patterns. Membership is $40 per year.

Your Unwanted Car Boat or RV Could Benefit the APF
If you have a vehicle that you no longer want, you can donate it to the APF for the benefit of the animals. It could also mean a tax benefit for you. We work with Cars 4 Causes, a reputable donation program that will handle all the arrangements to quickly and conveniently pick up your vehicle at no cost to you. They accept most cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RV's, whether running or not. An appointment can be made to have it towed at a specific time. Dog House Merchant Program

Place a dog house collection box in your business. Spare change donated by your customers really adds up for the animals. For details please call 518-374-3944, ext. 114.

If your employer participates in a workplace campaign you can direct your contribution to the APF.

$100 for the Pets When You Buy a Car
In the market for new wheels? Visit our friends at Toyota and Scion of Clifton Park for a great deal for you and our shelter pets. When you purchase a new or used vehicle and mention the APF, they will make a donation of $100 to the shelter. Visit them at Route 146 & 236 in Mechanicville.

Tribute Garden

Our beautiful garden offers a special way to pay tribute to a beloved person or pet, past or present. Engraved bricks create a lasting commemoration while helping homeless pets.

Buying or Selling a Home?

 Teach Kids to Care
Helping stray, abused, and abandoned animals in our community is our number-one goal. But we also need to teach our youngest citizens the basics of responsible pet care and the value of treating people and animals with kindness and respect. For each $30 tax-deductible contribution you make to our Adopt-a-Classroom program,
you’ll provide an entire elementary-school class with KIND News for a year, an award winning classroom newspaper that teaches children kindness and respect for animals. We have adopted over 100 classrooms, but we get more requests for subscriptions every year.
