There's No Place Like Home

At the Animal Protective Foundation (APF), we understand that life can sometimes bring unexpected changes, and rehoming your pet may become necessary. Our goal is to make this process as smooth and compassionate as possible, while ensuring your pet finds the best possible home. Below, we outline the rehoming options available to you, along with the steps you can take.

Private Rehoming Options

A Direct Rehoming Alternative

If you’d prefer to rehome your pet privately, our There’s No Place Like Home program offers an alternative to surrendering them to the shelter. This platform allows you to post your pet’s profile and connect directly with potential adopters, helping your pet transition from your home to another without staying in a shelter.

  • How It Works
You submit your pet’s information through our rehoming interface, and we post it on our site for potential adopters to view. All communication and arrangements are handled directly between you and the adopter.

Your submission will appear on the APF's website, www.animalprotective.org. Interested parties will be encouraged to visit the page for adoptable animals, but we are unable to individually advertise or promote your pet.

Listings are reserved for personally-owned animals - we are unable to post listings for rescue groups or shelters. Please direct any questions to community@animalprotective.org.
